Touchstone is dedicated to being an active force in the renewal of theatre as a vital art form. At our heart is a resident professional acting Ensemble rooted in both the local community of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and the international community of the actor/creator.

We welcome back playwright Alison Carey, author of Steelbound (1998), to collaborate on a new piece which aims to explore our local history during the Civil War and connect it to our present day.  This blog will be a place for us to report on our progress, invite the community to participate, and hopefully discover how to make this experience resonate well into the future.

The Civil War Project is Touchstone’s next community-based offering and is also in collaboration with Moravian College.  Expect to see more about the research we have unearthed, the plans for the next year and stories from all the collaborators as the process moves forward.
